Wishing everyone a good day! Spread your kindness and light in whatever task you do! Every morning we wake up, we are blessed with an opportunity to do something, to make something, to feel something. Our time is limited so let’s not waste it on negative thoughts or negative situations. Let’s embrace, love, laughter, joy, dance, hope, optimism.
Sharing a Rumi poem today. I’m always in a perfect mood after reading beautiful poetry. I’m feeling blessed and grateful for all the wonderful blessings in my life. Sending love and healing prayers to all precious souls.
“Let go of your worries
and be completely clear-hearted,
like the face of a mirror
that contains no images.
If you want a clear mirror,
and see the shameless truth,
which the mirror reflects.
If metal can be polished
to a mirror-like finish,
what polishing might the mirror
of the heart require?
Between the mirror and the heart
is this single difference:
the heart conceals secrets,
while the mirror does not.”
Take a day to heal from the lies you’ve told yourself and the ones that have been told to you.”

I spent the day traveling out of town for a sweet friends wedding. It was wonderful to see this beautiful young couple affirm their love and commitment to each other. Weddings always make me feel hopeful. I just shared with a friend that I’m so grateful that regardless of life’s unsettling reality and constant challenges, I always see the best in people! I believe in good intentions and having an open and clean heart. I believe in forgiveness and compassion.
Love, Light, Joy, Harmony,
Sending out positive energy for a productive day! May everyone have an opportunity to practice an act of kindness and compassion. It doesn’t have to be a big gesture, a small random act of kindness and compassion towards someone who might be feeling lost or confused can go a long way. So smile at others, ask they how they are doing, thank those who work long hours in service industry jobs. We have many ways to pay it forward!
Love & Joy
Today is a rainy day here! But sometimes it is nice and soul cleansing to watch the raindrops come down. We all need to feel pure and wash away the yucky stuff from yesterday. Letting go of negativity whether it comes to us in the form of a memory, experience or a person can make us feel impure. I try to visualize standing under a waterfall and let bright sunlight enter my soul after the water has cleansed me. This is a very powerful image. Our thoughts can be powerful, we have to learn to control them so that we can stay on track.
Wishing everyone a blessed day!
Peace & Joy
Sitting here listening to the birds chirping and the wind blowing against the window in my back yard. There is so much peace and tranquility when you sit in silence. This is a wonderful mindful practice. Breathe in the positive energy and release out any stress or cluttered thoughts. This is my morning routine. I take a few moments to offer healing blessings to everyone who is need of comfort. May all your difficulties go away and you find peace and harmony in your life.
Today I’m feeling a little sad and lonely and that is okay. This is something new for me, allowing myself to express all all of my emotions is living an authentic life. Society forces us to put on a happy face even when we are hurting inside. Tears can be very cleansing for your soul. Check in with yourself, with your body and ask yourself? How am I feeling? What does my body need from me to take care of myself? I’ve spent so much of my life nurturing and caring for others that I forgot to take care of me. My life shifted when I realized that I needed to stop and let the world be. Loving yourself first is so important. So do something good for yourself today. Look in the mirror. What do you need?
I’ve always believed this to be true. You learn more from the painful experiences then the happy ones. Yesterday, I spent the day away from the city at a beautiful retreat. Spent time at a historic cabin tucked away in nature. I was surrounded by this magnificent lake. I went for a long nature walk on my friends 500 acre property. I listened to the birds singing, the waves hitting the beach, cool breeze in the air. I collected a few treasures on the way. A feather, flowers, rocks, sticks. I came back from my walk and made a dreamcatcher from the sticks I had collected. Later, my friends and I built a big camp fire and we sat in a circle with a guitar and some drums and we sang songs. It was a beautiful moment. When we were walking back to the cabin, I looked up at the night sky. There was no moon, just a big beautiful night sky. Stars shining so bright. I said to myself. This is what life is- celebrating the small perfect moments. I’ve let myself get caught up reacting to events that really aren’t important. Sometimes you experience something that jolts you into the right direction. So friends, look for the learning moments, teach yourself the lessons that are important for your personal and spiritual growth. Surround yourself with good people who have large hearts. Today I’m feeling loved and connected with the Divine!
This Mother’s Day, I’m celebrating the meaning of the word- connection. This quote resonated with me today because the bond between a mother and child is about connection. It is based on unconditional love, trust, safety. All the essential foundations where you learn to operate in the world are about that first pure connection. The second word is nurturing, although I don’t have any children, I’ve still nurtured and cared for others as they were my own so I understand what that connection is about. I hope everyone will take a moment to reflect upon those special connections in your life, the ones you have now, the ones you’ve lost and the ones you will forge in the future. My philosophy in life is to go out and connect with as many people on this beautiful earth- that makes me feel happy and joyful! It makes me believe that no matter what we look like, whatever path we are traveling on, we are still connected and part of the same magnificent universe. Happy Mother’s Day 2014
In every community there is work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to heal. In every heart, there is power to do it.
