Do good

One of my favorites from Mother Teresa! Learning to practice and cultivate the idea of doing good on a regular basis is difficult.

We are human beings with complicated emotions and sometimes we say things or do things that isn’t with the best intentions. I try to remind myself when I start to judge or react in a negative way about a situation.

Today has been a very sad day. A close family friend lost their mom and this is a few months after they lost their daughter and son in law this Summer. All 3 deaths in one family in such a short span of time is a terrible tragedy. This reminds me of a few years back when we lost Hamza and my Aunty within a year. Our faith tells us that this is God’s will and none of us know how much time we have on this Earth. What surprises me is that even though we are aware of this fact, we still fail to live our daily lives with gratitude and we fail to focus on what is really important. To live a life full of love and compassion. I hope when the day comes that I am no longer here, I am remembered as someone who loved to the fullest and tried my best to be generous and kind and compassionate. I hope I asked forgiveness for those who I had inadvertently hurt and I made amends quickly. I hope my family and friends know that I love them and I tried my best to be a good person.

May those souls who have passed Rest In Peace . Amen!.

Only a few days left to set intentions for 2018. May the New Year bring peace and joy to ALL. Let compassion and kindness grow in ALL hearts. May we focus on positive goals and stay away from negativity and those acts that aren’t in our highest good. Sending prayers to ALL who are suffering financially or emotionally or with an illness- may GOD answer our prayers. Ameen
