loving the pictures still showing up from two years ago. Enjoy!
Much better start to this morning. The day is peaceful and no work drama so far. It is a cool morning as weather is changing. Busy day ahead. I’m feeling excited and anxious for my mom’s return. It was good to connect with an old friend yesterday. Always feels good to see a familiar face and catch up.
Peace and love to ALL
*What is spiritual maturity?
1. Spiritual Maturity is *when you stop trying to change others, …instead focus on changing yourself.*
2. Spiritual Maturity is when you
*accept people as they are.*
3. Spiritual Maturity is when you
*understand everyone is right in their own perspective.*
4. Spiritual Maturity is when you
*learn to “let go”.*
5. Spiritual Maturity is when you are able to *drop “expectations” from a relationship and give for the sake of giving.*
6. Spiritual Maturity is when you
*understand whatever you do, you do for your own peace.*
7. Spiritual Maturity is when you *stop proving to the world, how intelligent you are.*
8. Spiritual Maturity is when you *don’t seek approval from others.*
9. Spiritual Maturity is when you *stop comparing with others.*
10. Spiritual Maturity is when you *are at peace with yourself.*
11. Spiritual Maturity is when you *are able to differentiate between “need” and “want” and are able to let go of your wants.*
*& last but most meaningful !*
12. You gain Spiritual Maturity when you *stop attaching “happiness” to material things !!*
“Wishing all a happy Spiritually matured life…
When I started this blog 5 years ago, I wanted it to be a pure and a happy escape, an outlet that was there for me to share my favorite quotes, pictures of sunrises and sunsets and really not connected with anything in my real life.
It served a healthy purpose and that was what I had needed at the time. I’ve always been a loner, awkward with sharing my true thoughts and beliefs with anyone, yet writing on a blog on the Internet about my feelings didn’t feel safe so I kept it simple.
Now, I’m in a totally different place. I’m comfortable in my skin to know that negativity and bad days and chaos is also a part of life. If I want to be authentic and embrace my true wholesome self then I need to move beyond everything being pure and perfect and appreciate that everything isn’t all rosy, peachy, and perfect and full of love and light that I wish it to be.
There are some interesting articles circling on the Internet talking about how some avoid reality by denying all the ugliness and evil in the world. The mass shootings, the injustice in Myanmar, the flooding in India, the genocide in Africa and the list goes on…,
My wake up all came after the last election- when a bully, sexual harasser, racist, misogynist was elected into office. This made me second guess all my beliefs. Deep down I always believed that good wins over evil. Light over dark etc.
the reality is that the world around us is complicated and people are very complex too. Nothing is as it appears. So to show up and meet the challenge, we have to come out of the shadows and not be afraid to speak up.
I don’t want this blog to become a permanent vent session or rant about everything that is wrong in the world.
I just want it to be authentic so I feel that I’m reflecting my true self.
I am a whole person but flawed at the same time. There is nothing wrong with that so that is the metaphor for this blog.
If I’m compelled to speak out about something I will.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with hoping and praying for a kinder gentler world. I hope that by manifesting positive thoughts and good vibrations that will attract good people and good experiences but I’m not a denier that this is the world we live in. We need social equality and social justice and we need to have voices speak up!
Reflection for today!!!!
Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change our world and that is what I’m trying to do.
Educate myself on what is important and utilize my energy in channeling good for that cause……
Peace and blessings
yes! This is true. You can be ok and still have a bad day or bad moment and that doesn’t mean that you are going backwards/ it means you are aware that many challenges will come your way and you have to remind yourself that you are doing the best you can. You are not perfect. You will make mistakes and that is ok. You are still lovable and good enough!
These reminders are very helpful.
